Bhopal. A hearing was held in the National Green Tribunal on Thursday regarding the construction of the new Collectorate building to be built in the Professor Colony of the capital. During the hearing, the NGT bench has ordered to form a four-member team to investigate this matter. Based on the investigation report of this committee, the bench can give its decision in the next hearing, till then there will be an undeclared ban on the construction of new buildings.

Gave instructions to form a committee

Harshvardhan Tiwari, counsel for petitioner Nitin Saxena in NGT, said that SIA (State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority) has given permission for the construction of a new collectorate building in the area adjacent to the small pond in Professor Colony. To grant permission for construction, only the distance of 33 meters from the FTL of the big pond was mentioned, whereas this colony is completely adjacent to the small pond, which was not mentioned. Therefore, now the bench has given instructions to form a four-member committee to investigate this matter.
