Bhopal. Four hardcore prisoners are on hunger strike for 4 days inside the high security Central Jail of the capital. All four SIMI terrorists were given life imprisonment in the year 2017. The jail management has clearly refused to accept the demands of the prisoners. The demands of the prisoners cannot be met. Because, this is a matter of jail security. These prisoners have asked for a watch and along with work in the library, they also want a newspaper. Permission has been sought from the jail management for collective namaz, not wearing a cap during the meeting, besides carrying writing during the meeting. Due to the information about the jail getting out, the management fears that the prisoners may try to break the jail. Rakesh Bhangre, Jail Superintendent, Central Jail Bhopal said that he has informed the DG office about the demands of the prisoners. All demands cannot be fulfilled. The jail management has decided that this could pose a security threat. Therefore the demands of the prisoners will not be met. Have tried many times before.
First Faizal and Kamran sat on strike
After being lodged in the high security jail, the strike started from September 14 for illegal demands. Two days later, on September 16, the jail management got information about the hunger strike, after which the health of the prisoners is being monitored. Kamaruddin son of Chand Mohammad of Nagauri Mohalla Ujjain was sentenced to life imprisonment in the year 2017. Shivali son of Karim, resident of Kerala was also sentenced to life imprisonment. Both were associated with SIMI organization. The special thing is that Abu Faizal and Kamran are behind instigating the terrorists for their demands. Both of them had earlier started a hunger strike.
