Aadi Guru Shankaracharya:“Ekatma Dham” is being constructed dedicated to the life and philosophy of ‘Acharya Shankar’, the reviver of Sanatan Dharma, the angel of cultural unity and a strong spokesperson of Advaita Vedanta philosophy. With the aim of popularizing the philosophy of Acharya Shankar, Omkareshwar of Khandwa is being developed as a global center of Advaita Vedanta. The entire construction is being done in traditional Indian temple architectural style. This project will be environment friendly. Along with Advaita Lok, a compact forest named Advaita Van is being developed in 36 hectares.

Under ‘Ekatma Dham’, Acharya Shankar’s 108 feet high ‘Statue of Unity’, ‘Advaita Lok’ Museum and Acharya Shankar International Advaita Vedanta Institute are being established. As the first historic phase of this project, the Statue of Unity will be unveiled by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on September 21. This is a 108 feet high polymetal statue in which Adi Shankaracharya ji is in child form.

Omkareshwar Khandwa is the knowledge land and Guru land of Acharya Shankar. It was here that he met his Guru Govind Bhagwatpad and stayed here for 4 years and studied education. At the age of 12, he left from Omkareshwar to spread Vedanta in united India. Therefore, the statue of 12 year old Acharya Shankar is being established on Mandhata mountain of Omkareshwar. This idol has been carved by the famous sculptor Bhagwan Rampur of Solapur Maharashtra. The picture of Bal Shankar for the idol was made by the famous Mumbai painter Shri Vasudev Kamat in the year 2018. For the construction of the idol, in the year 2017-18, Ekatm Yatra was taken out in the entire Madhya Pradesh, through which a public awareness campaign was conducted to collect metal for the construction of the idol from 27,000 gram panchayats.
