Jammu-Kashmir: The Indian Army is busy breaking the back of the terrorists who are spreading terror in Jammu and Kashmir. So far this year, 31 terrorists have been killed in joint operations by security forces. Jammu and Kashmir Police has released official figures regarding this. These joint operations were carried out jointly by Army, Police, SSB, BSF and CRPF at different places in Jammu and Kashmir.
How many terrorists were killed in the year 2023
A total of 31 terrorists have been eliminated in the Union Territory in the year 2023. One terrorist was killed in a joint operation by Jammu and Kashmir Police, Indian Army and SSB. In a separate operation, five terrorists were killed. It is noteworthy that a total of 187 terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir in 2022. Of these, 130 were local terrorists and 57 were foreign terrorists.
204 terrorists were caught
According to media reports, a total of 204 terrorists have been caught in Jammu and Kashmir between January 1 and September 26 this year. Last month, four terrorists were killed and 40 were captured. Officials also said that there are currently 111 active terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, which includes 40 local terrorists and 71 foreign terrorists. If we compare with last year, there were 137 active terrorists there.
Pakistan mother of terrorism
Jammu and Kashmir Police DGP Dilbagh Singh said that when there was unrest in Punjab, it also affected some areas of Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorism ended in Punjab, but it started in Kashmir. The common factor in both places is Pakistan, the originator of terrorism and Pakistan’s agencies are also fully responsible for promoting this terrorism. Also, he further said that we will continue to take strict action to eliminate terrorism.
