Anantnag Encounter: The ongoing encounter with terrorists in Anantnag of Jammu and Kashmir since last Wednesday i.e. 13th September has ended. Security forces have also killed Lashkar commander Uzair Khan on Tuesday. Apart from this, the security forces have also recovered the body of the Lashkar commander.
ADGP Vijay Kumar said that Lashkar commander Uzair Khan has been killed. Weapons have also been recovered from him. He said the search operation would continue as many areas were still vulnerable. We will appeal to the public not to go there. We had information about 2-3 terrorists. It is possible that we may find the third body somewhere. Now bodies of terrorists have been found.
He further said that hence we will complete the search operation. We found the body of the Lashkar commander and his body has also been recovered. At present we are searching for the third body. The police officer advised people not to go to the area as there could be live grenades and shells.

In this regard, the police officials had maintained silence on the operation for the last four days. They believed that two to three terrorists were hiding in the forest area.
