Narnaul / Kanina. Villagers from 40 villages went on an indefinite strike Monday demanding an access road between Sehlang-Baghot village on National Highway 152-D. Vijay Singh, head of Sangharsh Samiti, Notana, said Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had announced cuts at the request of villagers from 40 villages, but they had not been implemented. In protest, villagers from 40 villages sat down on an indefinite dharna. He said that a meeting of the villagers of these villages was recently held. It called for this cut to begin as soon as possible. A letter has also been sent to various government officials in this regard, but no solution has been found so far. Therefore we were forced to sit on Dharna.

The villagers sitting on an indefinite Dharna by pitching tents said that there are no cuts between Mahendragarh and Dadri on this route for 35 kilometers while important places like Bageshwar Dham, Central University Haryana, NTPC Thermal Power Project Jharli, one of the world famous Jyotirlingas, is very close from here. Also, a population of around three to four lakh people lives in this area. All must go towards Dadri or Mahendragarh which is more than 20 kilometers from here to climb this route. The people of these 40 villages decided together that this road needs to be cut. He said Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari also announced that Rao Inderjit Singh would agree to the call for the Panchgaon rally to be curtailed, but despite this, the work of curtailment on that route has not started. There is anger among the people in the surrounding villages that despite the announcement, the clearing work has not started.

He said this indefinite strike will continue until the cut here is made. The Sangharsh Samiti called on the people to come and sit at this Dharna site in the greatest possible numbers every day so that the eyes of the government could open and this cut could begin. Members of the Dharna Committee said that they presented a memorandum to Aarti Rao, a member of the BJP State Labor Committee and daughter of Rao Inderjit Singh, in Rambas on February 26, supporting this request.
