Raipur. An 11-day training program under the joint aegis of Center for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) and Chhattisgarh Police on cyber crime research was inaugurated under the chairmanship of Chhattisgarh Director General of Police Ashok Juneja. 25 police officers from three police ranges of the state Raipur, Durg and Bastar respectively are participating in this training programme.
On the inauguration of the training programme, Director General of Police Mr. Juneja said that police officers should analyze the data of NCRB related to cyber crime to find out what is the trend of cyber crime in the country and the state. He told that in the scenario of Chhattisgarh, in the types of cyber crimes, crimes of cheating have been seen by the accused by taking personal information of people by phishing, pen card, credit card. Apart from this, crimes like personal attack, online harassment by creating fake IDs on social media have also come to light in the state. CDAC organization has done a lot of work in this field in the metropolitan cities of the country. Therefore, observing the case study of such cases can be of great help in the interpretation of crimes occurring in the state.
Cyber crime challenge for police: Gupta
Additional Director General of Police Technical Services Mr. Pradeep Gupta said that it is a challenge for the police to control the speed at which cyber crime has increased. This crime is going to become more complex in the coming times. In such a situation, it is necessary to increase the skill level of police officers. Cyber is an essential skill in present times, which all police officers should have knowledge of. We will be one step ahead only then this crime can be dealt with.
