The call to an online servant was expensive: jewelry worth Rs 1 crore was seized from the house of Raj Jewelers

Karnal: A servant escaped from the house of Raj Jewelers owner in Sector 7 with jewelry worth Rs 1 crore. The accused employee was hired by a company in Delhi just 15 days ago. When the family members woke up this morning, they saw that the servant was missing. Also, a diamond ring worth Rs 80 lakh and a bracelet worth Rs 20 lakh were stolen from the room of Chirag, the jeweler’s son. As soon as information about the theft was received, police attended the scene and collected evidence.

Jeweler Raj said in his police complaint that two servants were working in his house. To support himself, a servant’s room was set up on the roof of the house. While she was sleeping at night, her son Chirag had taken out his diamond ring and bracelet and kept them in the drawer next to the bed in his room. When he woke up around 11:30 a.m., he went for a swim. Then when I checked my ring and bracelet I found they were missing from that spot. When Chirag inquired about his jewelry from his family members, he received no information. When the servants were interrogated afterwards, one servant Satish was missing. I called him but found his cell phone was turned off. Afterwards, when the CCTV was checked, Satish was seen coming out of the house at 11.12 am.

He first puts on his slippers and quickly walks towards the gate. Then his attention turns to a cloth lying on the porch and he quickly picks up the cloth, opens the main gate and runs away from the house. The accused escapes from the house within a minute of committing the crime. The family members then filed a police report. Following the information, Saldri Kumar and the teams of officers from Sector 32 and 33 police station reached the spot. The team examined the items kept in the room of the accused servant, but the police did not recover any documents identifying the accused. The police are looking for the accused.
