Sirsa: Four people together cheated a young man from Mirpur village out of 24.50 lakh rupees instead of paying overseas fees. In this regard, the police registered a case against four people on the orders of the SP. Among those against whom the fraud case has been filed are Jagjit Singh, Sonal Rani Village Bijna, Simran Resident House Number 2, Ekta Colony, Near Community Center Karnal and Tarsem Chand, resident of House No. 442, Street Number 15 RK Puram Colony Main Road Karnal, are included.

Arshdeep from Mirpur said that he learned from Guruharsahay, a friend from Makkhan Singh, that the above four defendants are tricking people into paying tuition fees in order to send them abroad and put the money into their account. When he also told some of his friends and relatives about this, they also said that we should deposit our dues. When I asked him in March 2022 to deposit the fees of one of his friends, he paid the fees and handed over the receipts. He paid the fee of 8.30 lakh rupees in cash. After that, he also gave some other friends and relatives money to pay their fees. He gave the accused around 24.50 lakh rupees.

The defendant then transferred the amount of the fees paid to his account online. When he checked the receipts provided by the defendant, he found that they were forged. When he questioned the accused about this, they began to evade. All four asked him to return the money immediately. In November 2022, the day for the return of the money was set. The defendant did not even pay back the amount on time, whereupon he strictly demanded the amount from the defendant, whereupon the defendant threatened to see him. He was also warned of the consequences of making a complaint. He first complained to the police, but the local police took no action, after which he also complained to the SP. The SP has now ordered a case to be registered on the basis of an investigation.
