Narnaul. The Special Court/Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court and POCSO Court have sentenced two convicts of sexual assault to seven years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs one lakh each. In case of non-payment of the fine, both convicts will have to undergo an additional penalty.

Police spokesman Sumit Kumar said that according to the case, a case was registered at Narnaul Women’s Police Station on May 17, 2019, following the testimony of the underage victim, in which there were allegations that the defendant forcibly took the victim away at night and sexually assaulted her. . In this regard, the women’s police station registered a case and invoked various sections of the IPC and the POCSO law. The victim claimed both defendants forcibly took her to their home during the night and sexually abused the underage victim. At the noise of the victim, her relatives came there. The case was heard by the Special Court/Additional Sessions Judge Fast Track Court and Judge Amandeep Dewan of the POCSO Court.

During the court hearing, Assistant District Judge Bharat Bhushan Dahiya, headed by SP Vikrant Bhushan, along with the Women’s Police effectively lobbied the prosecution in the case and played a role in punishing the accused. During the hearing, the Hon’ble Court took the matter very seriously and, following his conviction, showed no leniency in the harsh punishment along with the fine.

The court sentenced the two defendants, Rajesh and Vikram, to seven years’ strict imprisonment each and fined Rs one lakh each. The convict was sentenced to seven years’ strict imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000 under Section 366-A IPC and seven years more severe sentenced to imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000 under 10 POCSO Act. In the event of non-payment of the fine, the convicts must reckon with an additional prison sentence.
