In conjunction with the Government of India’s Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, the Haryana government has been lax in transporting the animals to other states so that the ranchers can bring their animals to the fair. In providing this information, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jaikrishna Abhir that a major animal fair in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh will be organized by the Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Dairy.

The deputy commissioner said that an exhibition of excellent animals from different provinces including Haryana will be organized at this fair. He shared that moving cows and buffalo out of state to prevent lumpy skin disease is banned. The participation of the state livestock in the cattle fair organized by the Indian government should be possible. Therefore, for the purpose of attending the aforementioned fair, cows and buffalo have been granted some conditional relaxation of restrictions on out-of-state movement.

All instructions must be followed to bring animals to the fair

dc dr Jaikrishna Abhir said that this exemption applies only to taking cows and buffalo out of the state and bringing them back for the purpose of attending this fair. The pet owner must declare in writing to the local veterinary hospital that they wish to bring their pet to the out-of-state fair at their own risk and will comply with all government instructions, rules and regulations and will comply with the Conditions. Only those animals that are perfectly healthy and free from lump and other contagious diseases may be taken out of the state. This requires the animal health certificate to be issued after the health test has been carried out in the relevant veterinary clinic. The animal must be vaccinated against foot-and-mouth disease, diphtheria and lumpy disease. He informed that the animal health certificate must be issued before the return journey after the animal health test has been carried out by the local veterinarian. After returning to the federal state, the animal owner must keep the animal in quarantine at home or in his animal enclosure separately from other animals for 15 days and inform the responsible veterinarian immediately if symptoms of illness occur.
