Panipat: Life imprisonment for murder of partner, fined Rs 25,000

Panipat: Additional District Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court Archana Yadav convicted Sultan Singh, resident of Nangla Par village, Panipat Hall district, resident of HUDA Sector 25, Panipat, accused of murder of Sunil, resident of Padha Hall village, HUDA -Sector 25, Panipat. He sentenced the convict to life imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000. If the fine is not paid, the guilty sultan faces a further six months in prison.

Based on the complaint of late Sunil’s brother Surendra, a resident of Pada village, Panipat district, a case was registered against Sultan by Chandni Bagh police station on October 10, 2018 for the murder of Sunil. Surendra alleged that Sultan and Sunil used to carry out property work at the mill and Sultan shot Sunil on the night of October 10 over a dispute over money transactions. The court of ASJ Archana Yadav convicted the accused after hearing statements of witnesses and in view of the evidence presented by Chandni Bagh police station against the murderer Sultan.

20 years in prison for the perpetrators in two rape cases

District Additional and Sessions Judge Fast Track Court POSCO Sukhpreet Singh has convicted the accused in separate cases of raping two girls and sentenced them to jail and fine. The ASJ Singh court sentenced Vidyanand Colony resident Salman, who was accused of raping the girl, to 20 years rigorous imprisonment. A fine of Rs 75,000 was also imposed on the guilty Salman. If he fails to pay the fine, Salman will face an additional six months in prison. At the same time, the ASJ court found Sukhpreet Singh Shravan guilty of raping the girl and sentenced him to 20 years rigorous imprisonment. The court of ASJ Sukhpreet Singh imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on Shravan. If the fine is not paid, Shravan will face an additional three-year prison sentence.
