Bahadurgarh: Despite the ongoing awareness campaign, people are not giving up on being lax. At the risk of their lives, they mistakenly cross the railway line. Because of this, accidents are increasing. So far, 29 people have died on the railway line in the last four months. Of these, seven were suicides while the remaining 22 were accidental deaths.

The area from Tikri border to Sampla is under GRP station Bahadurgarh. Bahadurgarh has population on both sides of the railway lines. Gates were built for passenger traffic while there is also a pedestrian bridge near the station. Many in a hurry go directly to crossing the tracks instead of using these alternatives. A large number of passenger and freight trains pass through Bahadurgarh throughout the day. In such a situation, sometimes careless people get into the grips of vehicles. Most accidents in Bahadurgarh area happen near Chhoturam Nagar.

So far this year, the train tracks have been stained red with the blood of 29 people. 22 of them died accidentally and the remaining seven committed suicide. Two women were also involved. In 2022, a total of 102 people died on the railway line. Between January and April last year, 30 people died on the route. Most of the dead are under 40 and the number of migrants is high. ASI Rajesh Kumar from GRP Police Station said more accidents are happening near Chhoturam Nagar. The day laborers are careless in their haste. Some youngsters walk on the railway track with lead in their ears and become victims of accidents. Patrols are made along the continuous lines to the GRP. An attempt is made to create awareness.
