Lok Sabha elections 2024: 527 voters above 100 years of age will cast their votes for the Lok Sabha elections from Sonipat district. Of these, 291 are female and 236 are male voters. In addition, there are 28,893 voters in the district over the age of 80 who will vote on May 25th. The older voters over 80 years of age include 12,883 male and 16,010 female voters.
DC of Sonipat said that the Election Commission has announced the date of Lok Sabha elections. This means that the model code has come into force. Appealed to all political parties and citizens to cooperate with the district administration to conduct free, fair and peaceful elections.
Special regulations are made at the polling stations
The deputy commissioner and district returning officer Dr. Manoj Kumar said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, special arrangements have been made at polling stations for voters above 85 years of age so that they are not deprived from exercising their right to vote. He further said that to ensure easy access for elderly voters, arrangements have been made for wheelchairs, ramps and medical equipment at the polling booth to enable all voters to cast their votes.
Last date for submission of nomination
In the sixth phase, all 10 seats in Haryana will be voted on. The vote on this will take place on May 25, 2024. The Lok Sabha elections in Haryana will be announced on April 29. The last date for submitting nominations has been set for May 6th. Names can be withdrawn until May 9th.

At the same time, the Election Commission has also created an app called Candidate Nomination for filling nomination forms online. Any candidate can use this app to register their application online. The option is provided to deposit fees via online payment. Once the application is submitted, candidates can follow the further process of their application via the Suvidha app.
