Haryana: Haryanvi is no less pressing the NOTA button because if the voter doesn’t like a candidate, he will press NOTA. NOTA was used for the first time in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and was used extensively by voters in three districts each, with voters in Ambala, Rohtak and Sirsa voicing their displeasure. Then there were 203 candidates in the fray for all 10 Lok Sabha seats, of which 162 got fewer votes than NOTA. 23 candidates in Sonipat and 10 candidates in Karnal had lost due to NOTA.

Lowest use of NOTA in Bhiwani-Mahendragarh

There was not a single seat in Lok Sabha where NOTA got less than 2000 votes. Maximum 7943 voters voted for NOTA in Ambala while NOTA in Bhiwani-Mahendragarh got the least 2,041 votes. 4,986 voters in Faridabad, 5,389 in Gurgaon, 2,957 in Hisar, 5,463 in Karnal, 3,198 in Kurukshetra, 3,001 in Rohtak, 4,339 in Sirsa and 2,464 in Sonipat opted for NOTA.
