Karnal: District Jail Inmate Died Under Suspicious Circumstances. The prisoner was admitted to Kalpana Chawla Medical College and Hospital. The police took possession of the body and informed the family about the incident. After the family members arrive, the autopsy is carried out by the medical association in the presence of the district judge.
A case of cheating and conspiracy has been registered against Harjeet Singh alias Sodi, a resident of Yashwant Nagar in Sunder Nagar district of Maharashtra, at Assandh police station. Whom the police arrested on December 2nd themselves. The accused was produced before the court by the police and subsequently the court sent the accused Harjeet to the district jail. Harjeet Singh, who was lodged in the district jail, suddenly fell ill around 3 am. The prison hospital doctor examined Harjeet but when his condition became serious, he was shifted to the government hospital in Karnal. He died during treatment. After the prisoner’s death, the police informed the family. SHO Sushil Kumar of Ramnagar police station said a case has been registered against Harjeet Singh in various sections. Harjeet Singh was scheduled to appear before the JMIC Miss Vandana court in Assandh on December 16 but died before then.
