A very old well was found during the excavation of the pond near Shiv Mandir in the village of Balu Bidhan Patti. The bricks used in the construction of the well are associated with the Indus Valley Civilization. Gurudev Singh narrated that the excavation work for the pond was being carried out by JCB. When the digging reached a depth of about 25 feet, the shape of a well could be seen.
The villagers stopped the JCB digging and the villagers themselves began work on their own level. Villagers said the bricks used to build the well were 18 inches long and 11 inches wide and weighed 5 kg 600 grams. Villagers like Mangat Ram, Fateh Singh, Naseeb Singh, Ramphal, Rishi Sharma, Sushil, Dilbagh, Raja Fauji, Jogendra Dhiman etc. believe that this well is five to six thousand years old. The villagers said that when the Archaeological Department team reaches the village and examines the found ancient well, something new will be achieved in the search for the ancient civilization, so Balu Village can also be identified on the country map.

A few years ago, such bricks and remains of an ancient civilization were also found during the excavation of an ancient mound on the Saran Road north of the village of Balu. Seen in connection with the Indus Valley Civilization. Since then, the Archaeological Department has suspended excavations at the ancient mound.
