Kaithal: The truck theft case in Cheeka police station has turned out to be false. The police will take legal action against the accused for filing a false report. The police have registered a case against the accused truck driver and are investigating.

According to the complaint of Kangthali resident Balkar Singh, an unknown person stole his truck near Truck Union Cheeka on the night of November 23. A case has been registered at Cheeka police station in this regard. As per SP Upasana’s instructions, the above case was investigated by SI Shubhakarna’s team led by Vehicle Theft In-charge SI Rajendra. During the investigation, Balkar Singh was interrogated at length and he confessed that he himself had parked the said truck in Assandh. He had the truck in question financed and insured by the bank. He was unable to pay the financing installment. He had filed the theft complaint so that he could file his insurance claim and deposit the said amount in the bank so that the truck could remain with him later. Police recovered the said truck from the possession of Balkar Singh of Karnal, Assandh district. The police will take legal action against the complainant Balkar Singh for filing a false complaint of truck theft.
