Kaithal: Civil Line Police Kaithal duped a girl of Rs 5,000 on the pretext of sending her to Australia. Following the victim’s complaint, the police opened a case in which three young people, including a woman, were named. The police are looking for the accused.

Jyoti, a resident of Mayapuri Colony, lodged a complaint with the Civil Lines police station that she wanted to go to Australia for her studies. There, Nancy met Shruti and she introduced her to an agent named Malika. Malika told him that there was a gap in his studies and that he needed to get a diploma for it. Malika assured that she would get a study visa for Australia and guaranteed receipt of the visa. Malika, Kushalpal and their partner Amanpreet took several hundred rupees from him at different times but did not send them to Australia. When he demanded his money back, the accused gave him around Rs 6,000 but did not pay the outstanding amount of Rs 5,000. Threatens to kill if he asks for money. In this way, Malika, Amanpreet and Kushpal cheated him of Rs 5 lakh. Investigating officer Naresh Kumar said the police have registered a case against the accused and have initiated an investigation.
