Jind: Haryana Auto Rickshaw Union has released a new fare list. As per the new rules, the fare in the city will now be Rs 10 for short journeys and Rs 20 for long journeys. The fare has been fixed at 30 rupees from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. There are around 3500 cars and around 2.5 lakh e-rickshaws in the city, carrying thousands of passengers throughout the day.

It should be noted that earlier, motorists had fixed the fare at just Rs 20 per day. In such a situation, even passengers traveling a short distance had to pay only Rs 20 as fare. At night, drivers charged arbitrary fares. In such a situation, the arbitrariness of motorists charging arbitrary fares will be stopped. Special passes will be issued to motorists traveling at night in Jind. The fare has been fixed at Rs 10 from the new bus stop to SD School and Rs 20 for journeys beyond that. Likewise, the fare for traveling from the railway station to the SD school is 10 rupees and beyond that 20 rupees. Currently, cars and e-rickshaws are also being given unique ID numbers. In such a case, if a passenger accidentally forgets his luggage in a car or e-rickshaw or charges more than the stipulated fare, action will be taken against him.

Drivers are assigned unique numbers

After allocating the unique number, the police can locate the autorickshaw in question in case of any crime or in case of need. After conducting a campaign and checking all the car’s documents, the police allocate unique ID numbers which are written on the autorickshaws. This unique number of drivers will then be linked to the number 112 and as soon as a crime has occurred, the police will immediately reach the affected car. Police call autorickshaw drivers at the old bus stop and check their documents.

The fare was determined depending on the distance

Haryana Auto Rickshaw Union president Vijay Dalal said the night fare will be Rs 30 from 10 pm to 5 am. The fixed price will be communicated to the administrative officials in writing shortly. The Haryana Auto Rickshaw Union held a meeting and fixed the fare at Rs 10, 20 and 30 depending on the distance. If an auto or e-rickshaw driver charges a “higher fare” from the passenger, two deputy in-charges, Jagat Singh Poonia and Sukhbir alias Pappu, have been assigned to complain about it.
