Jind: The Court of Additional Districts and Sessions, Judge Dr. Chandrahas, sentenced the culprit to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 26,000 for raping a minor by entering her house. If the fine is not paid, the convicted person faces an additional prison sentence of two years.
According to the public prosecutor’s office, a person from Julana village in the police station area had filed a police report on October 14, 2022 that his neighbor Sonu had been sexually exploiting his 17-year-old daughter since October 2021. Whenever his daughter protested, the defendant beat his daughter and threatened to kill the family. As a neighbor, Sonu often visited his house. In October, the family members went to work. His daughter was home alone. Taking advantage of this, Sonu raped her daughter and then began sexually exploiting her through blackmail. Following the complaint of the victim’s father, the Mahila Thana police registered a case against Sonu on charges including sexual exploitation and arrested the accused. Since then, the matter has been pending in court. On Wednesday, Additional District and Sessions Judge Dr. The Chandraha court sentenced Sonu to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 26,000 for the crime of rape and threatening while entering the house.
