News2News.in News, Fatehabad: Now the flood water is slowly beginning to recede from the fields and roads. Out of a total of 112 flood-affected villages in the county, water has receded in 70 villages, while two counties in the metropolitan area are still affected by flooding. As the water recedes, county government officials are growing concerned about people’s health. We would like to tell you that after the flood, the health department expressed concern that serious diseases could spread here. Faced with the possibility of the epidemic spreading, District Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Kaur has ordered the Health Department to set up medical camps in affected villages. In the meantime, medical camps have been set up by the health department at 1,129 places in the district. A total of 13,451 patients were examined in these camps. During the examination, it was found that most of the patients suffer from skin diseases.

Rescue operations by medical camp

According to available information, the health department held medical camps at 59 locations in the county on Sunday and examined the health of 453 patients. Today, during the medical camp, 56 people were found suffering from fever, 17 from stomach diseases, 36 from eye flu, 100 from skin diseases and 239 from other diseases. We would like to inform you that so far a health screening of 13,451 people in 453 camps in the district has been carried out. So far, 1,309 people have been infected with fever, 590 with stomach diseases, 14 with dysentery, 3 with snakebites, 548 with eye flu, 2,881 with skin diseases and 8,000 people with other diseases. To prevent these diseases, fog work was carried out at 22 locations in the district on Sunday. In order to provide people with clean drinking water, 17 water samples were taken today and found to be positive. To date, a total of 528 water samples have been taken in the district, of which 499 samples have been found correct and 29 samples have been reported negative.
