Haryana: Minister of State for Women and Child Development Department Kamlesh Dhanda said that Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal approved the project to provide smartphones to anganwadi workers of the Women and Child Development Department through the High Powered Purchase Committee have. Soon, phones will be purchased and distributed to Anganwadi workers.

State Minister Kamlesh Dhanda said that 28,484 smartphones will be purchased for anganwadi workers for which a budget of Rs 28 crore 19 lakh has been approved. The phones will be given to the workers after the process is completed within the next three months. In addition, training on how to use the smartphone will be given for two weeks. The SIM card for the phone is provided by the department. The children’s condition is monitored via a nutrition tracker and a child development app in the phone. All data from newborns to children up to six years and from pregnant women to nursing mothers will be available on the Nutrition Tracker app. Serious illnesses such as malnutrition are also recorded via the Nutrition Tracker app. The Bal Samvardhan app is used to detect three types of malnutrition in children aged zero to five years: thinness, stunting and extreme underweight.
