Hansi: Haryanvi singer Naveen Naru, who is accused of raping a woman, was arrested by the police in Mahila late on Monday evening. Police produced the arrested accused Naveen Naru in court on Tuesday from where he was sent to prison on remand. The police are interrogating the accused in the case.
DSP Ravindra Sangwan said that a woman from the city lodged a complaint against Naveen Naru, accusing him of rape and blackmail by making obscene videos. Based on the woman’s complaint, the police registered a case against the accused Naveen Naru. During the arrest, police seized a vehicle and his mobile phone from Naveen Naru. Naveen Naru was arrested, produced in court and sent to prison. This matter is being investigated by the Mahila police station concerned. When asked by Naveen Naru regarding the money transaction, he replied that the money transaction was also being investigated. As part of the preliminary investigation, transactions took place on both accounts.
It is noteworthy that a woman living in a Hansi colony had accused Naveen Naru of raping her on the pretext of marriage and blackmailing her by making a video of the rape. In the police complaint, the woman claimed that she had been blackmailed by making obscene videos. He is a teacher at a private school. In 2020, she came into contact with Haryanvi artist Naveen. At that time he befriended her under the pretext of making her a heroine and giving her money. After that, she came under his influence. After some time, he called her to his home, forced her to drink tea mixed with intoxicants and raped her. I also made an obscene video of her. In addition, he repeatedly made false promises of marriage and repeatedly blackmailed people by making obscene videos. The Haryanvi artist threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident. The woman said it was a consensual affair, but he stopped talking to me and flatly refused to give her the money. Following the woman’s complaint, the police had opened a case against the accused Naveen Naru. On the same matter, artist Naveen says that all these claims are false and ours is a monetary transaction. The woman’s accusation of rape against him is false.
