Gurugram: Concerned about the ongoing land dispute with his relatives in the Bhondsi Police Station area, a farmer committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree. The farmer also wrote a suicide note, accusing his wife, son and daughter-in-law of molesting him. After the autopsy, the police handed the body over to the family. The police took up the case and initiated an investigation.
Deepak, a resident of Bhondsi village, said there was a land dispute between his father Ramkumar and his uncle. Because of this, his father Ramkumar had an argument with his mother and others at 10am on Friday. To end the argument, he dropped his father Ramkumar off at Dhani’s house on a bicycle, after which he returned home around 12 noon. His father was fine until 11 p.m. Friday night. Afterwards, his father committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope from a tree near the house in Dhani. When the village king saw Ramkumar hanging from the tree, he informed his family members. The family members who were there took Ramkumar down from the gallows.
A paper on which Ramkumar had written the names of those responsible for his death before committing suicide was found in a plastic bag hanging near the father’s bag. Deepak told police that his father committed suicide after getting fed up with the abuse during the argument and land dispute. On the other hand, the police who were there took possession of the farmer’s suicide note. The police will examine the writing on the suicide note. Which are sent to the lab to match scriptures written during Ramkumar’s lifetime. Proceedings had been initiated against all of the accused named in the suicide note, the investigating officer said. The police have started investigations. The suspect found guilty in the course of the investigation is arrested.
