Chandigarh. Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya said that Amar Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, all three heroes, were such true nationalists in whose blood the spirit of patriotism was coordinated. Through his sacrifice, a new revolutionary spirit was instilled in the country’s youthful vigor, causing the British to leave the country and the country to become independent. He said this as the main guest at the Martyrdom Day event organized at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurgaon.

While paying floral tributes to the portraits of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, he said that since the country’s first struggle for freedom until today, the brave hearts of Haryana have made a special contribution to the supreme sacrifices made in the service of the country . South Haryana has played an important role in this. Mentioning the martyrdom of Rao Tularam, Rao Kishan Singh and Gopal Dev, he said that these brave sacrifices of South Haryana were the main promoters of the country’s first freedom struggle.

He said that despite about 2 percent of the area, about 10 percent of the soldiers and paramilitary youth are from Haryana, and among them, the number of soldiers from South Haryana is significant. He also referred to the 1962 war with China in the Rejangla area between Chinese soldiers and India’s Charlie Company of the Kumaon Regiment. In this war waged under adverse circumstances, the battle warriors of the South Haryana region made history, for which even the enemy loudly praised them. It is our tradition to honor heroes and martyrs. In the program he honored 23 war heroes and three surviving warriors of the Rejangla War.
