Ambala news:Now drivers on GT Road in Ambala will soon get a big relief. The road is now being expanded to six lanes on GT Road flyover in front of Padav police station in Ambala and is currently four lanes. Home and Health Minister Anil Vij held a meeting with National Highway Authority of India officials at his residence in this regard and later inspected the spot.

He told the officials that such a plan should be drawn up so that the service lane along with the flyover could be directly connected to the staff road by constructing an underpass under the Ambala-Saharanpur railway line. Home Minister Anil Vij inspected the underpass area under the flyover with the officials and held a detailed discussion. NHAI Project Director Ashim Bansal, Cantonment SDM Satendra Siwach and other officials were present on the occasion.

The road on the flyover is now four lanes.

The road on GT Road flyover in front of Padav police station in Ambala is currently four lanes. Due to the narrowness of the road, it was difficult for motorists to pass through this area. Home Minister Anil Vij had raised this issue with Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and wrote him a letter requesting him to expand the road in the area to six lanes. On his application, the Center received approval after which the road will soon be widened to six lanes by NHAI. It is noteworthy that a four-lane road was constructed on the GT flyover under which the Ambala-Saharanpur railway line passed. Making the road here six lanes is a challenging task but with the efforts of Home Minister Anil Vij, this work will be possible soon.

Funds approved for the program, tender also allocated

NHAI Project Director Ashim Bansal said that funds for the project have been released and tenders have also been awarded. He said that the work would begin soon in the coming period. The road will be wider than before, providing more comfort for drivers.
