Chief Minister Manohar Lal (CM Manohar Lal) interacted directly with citizens seeking assistance in emergencies by dialing 112 via audio conferencing as part of a special discussion program with the CM.

He said that this particular discussion is being held for this purpose, so that in addition to pleasant experiences, when a citizen has had a bad experience, after receiving information about it and taking action against those affected, all precautions must be corrected. Citizens said that the 112 number service was very good and whenever they used this service in case of need, the 112 number vehicle reached the place in just 8 minutes. Dial-112 aims to provide immediate assistance to citizens in times of crisis

CM Manohar Lal said that with the aim of providing immediate assistance to the citizens of Haryana in times of crisis, the Dial-112 Emergency Rapid Response System was launched on July 12, 2021. Different types of emergency services used to have different numbers. In addition, the numbers of the same service in different regions were different. Therefore, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the One Nation One emergency number 112 was established. With its help, you can now get help anywhere in every state and union territory of the country.

Haryana government pledged to provide immediate emergency relief to all citizens

The premier said the Haryana government is committed to providing immediate emergency relief to all citizens. Now that the affected officer or employee has received the information about the 112 number, he can no longer rely on the jurisdictional boundary or the police station boundary, but must provide immediate assistance to those in need. When citizens call this number, they can get various types of assistance locally, e.g. B. Help from the fire department or medical police. He said that in the past, when there was a crime or an accident, people would complain that help hadn’t arrived on time. This system was only set up to provide timely assistance to people. The introduction of this system has brought transparency to service delivery in times of crisis and ensured accountability of different emergency service providers.

The 112 number has received over 1 million calls to date

The premier said the state emergency response center has received more than 1 crore of calls since July 2021. Of these, 15,000 and 13,000 emergency calls were immediately sent to the emergency services. This service is continuously monitored by senior officials. As a result, the average response time for police vehicles fell from 16 minutes and 14 seconds in August 2021 to 8 minutes and 12 seconds in April 2023. Up to 628 vehicles are deployed in this system, equipped with the equipment needed in an emergency. These vehicles are wireless and GPS enabled to allow for easy navigation to the crime scene.

All emergency services linked under a single number

He said that of that number in Haryana, more than 2.5 million residents of the state receive 24-hour emergency services. Now every citizen can connect to the Haryana 112 system instantly in times of need. He said that this is one such security system, with all emergency services tied to a single number so far. In addition, the 1070 Disaster Management Helpline and the 1033 National Highway Helpline will soon be connected to the 112 number.
