Hansi: Haryana’s former finance minister and senior BJP leader Captain Abhimanyu said that the book titled ‘Historic City of Hansi’ contains the history of Hansi. The efforts made by the author of the book, Jagdish Chandra, to make the public aware of the story of Hansi by writing the book are commendable. Captain Abhimanyu was speaking during the launch of the book ‘Historical City Hansi’ authored by Jagdish Chandra in Hansi.

He said that Hansi is an ancient city which was once the most important city of North India. Located at the confluence of two rivers during the Vedic period, this city had not only religious importance but also commercial importance due to its location on the land route that connected the interior of India with the civilizations of Central Asia. During the Rajput period, it was called the threshold of India. Many times it was the capital of the republics. During the Islamic period, it became a center for the propagation and propagation of Islam and the abode of Sufi saints. When Irishman George Thomas founded his state called Haryana, he made Hansi his capital.

He said that it remained a district during the British period and later a tehsil which exists till date. The Skinner Horse Regiment was founded on this land 200 years ago and is still in service in the Indian Army with its glorious history. A silent witness to important historical events of India, this historic city still harbors monuments that bear witness to its glorious past. Jagdish Chandra, who has done the important work of collecting the past of Hansi, says that Captain Abhimanyu has done a commendable collaboration in publishing the book Historic City Hansi. The former minister has done a commendable job in releasing it at an important event and making it available to the general public. This also shows Captain Abhimanyu’s sentiment towards social services.
