Sonipat: In Jathedi village under Rai police station area, two brothers, out of rivalry over slapping their mother, attacked a neighboring youth with a knife and brutally murdered him. The defendant dragged the young man out of his room, took him to the street and killed him by stabbing him in the neck and stomach with a knife. When the family members came to know about the matter, they reached the spot and informed Rai police station. Following the information, Rai Police Superintendent and his team reached the spot and collected evidence. The deceased teenager also had a criminal record. He was a historian of Rai police station. The police handed over the body to the family members after an autopsy. The police arrested both accused. The arrested accused Tushar alias Ankit and Hrithik are residents of Jathedi. The police produced the accused before the court from where they were remanded in custody.
The crime was committed due to an argument with his mother.
Samundra, a resident of Jathedi village, said that his brother had an argument with the mother of Ankit alias Tushar and Ritik alias Koni, who live in the neighborhood, about four days ago. The woman lives in his brother’s neighborhood. Monu had slapped him. Due to this rivalry, at 6.45 pm on Monday, Holi day, he received information that his brother Jitendra alias Monu was murdered. When he arrived at the spot with his mother Kamlesh, Monu was lying dead in a pool of blood on the road. Jitendra alias Monu was murdered with a knife. He was stabbed in several places in his neck and stomach with a knife. After he was dragged out of the room, he learned that his brother had been attacked with a knife. He expressed suspicion that Monu was murdered by Tushar alias Ankit, Ritik alias Koni and their other associates. The police called the FSL team and collected evidence. The police have registered a murder case against the accused.
The young man had a criminal record
Jitendra, the victim of the attack, had a criminal record. He was a historian of Rai police station. On May 1, 2023, Tushar alias Ankit and Hrithik’s father Surendra filed an attempt to murder case against him. Surendra, who works as a gardener in the Delhi Forest Department, had alleged that due to rivalry, Jitendra alias Monu called and threatened his son Ankit on the night of April 30, 2023. Later that morning, when he went to get milk, auto driver Jitendra shot him twice. Monu was caught by the police. He then confessed to the attack during a money transaction. Other cases were also registered against him. He was released on bail some time ago.
The young man opened a shop in the village and sold tea and gutkha.
Kamlesh, mother of the deceased, said that her son Jitendra alias Monu Rai used to run a tea shop in the industrial area. Besides tea, he also sold gutkha, soft drinks etc. He lived separately from them. After receiving the information, she reached the road. Where he lay in a pool of blood. Traces of a sharp weapon were visible on his neck and blood was flowing from his neck.
Police arrived after receiving information about the murder
Rai police station in-charge Inspector Umesh said information about a murder was received. The team reached the spot and called the FSL team. After collecting samples from the crime scene, the body was autopsied and handed over to the family members. The police initiated the case and arrested the two accused. The accused were produced before the court. From there he was sent to prison on remand. The knife was confiscated from the defendant. The accused committed the crime out of rivalry.
