Narendra container. Rewari. During the Corona crisis, it was found that the eligibility certificates of many students who appeared in the Haryana School Education Board’s higher secondary exams in Bhiwani and got admission in the school were forged. At the state level, the authority had identified 129 students from 92 schools who had submitted fake secondary school certificates to appear in the higher secondary school examination. Acting on the complaint of the ADGP Crime Board Secretary, cases of forgery were simultaneously registered in several police stations in the state. After almost a year, the district police have managed to arrest the first accused in this case. The police took the defendant into custody and began searching for the gang leader and other defendants.

On the orders of ADGP Crime, cases of forgery were simultaneously registered in many police stations of the state, but in this case, the responsibility of making the first arrest after investigation lies with the Rewari police. Police in this case have arrested Dalip Sharma, resident of Kanodia Mohalla in Mahendragarh, who during initial interrogation admitted to issuing fake certificates of two students, including Rekha, daughter of Rohtash, resident of Rewari. Police took the accused into custody after producing him before the court. During the interrogation, the police will try to reach other members and the boss associated with the gang.

Cases registered on the orders of ADGP Crime

The board’s secretary wrote a letter to ADGP Crime Panchkula on March 24 last year stating that students were being admitted into schools and appearing in the exams on the basis of fake certificates. The board secretary’s letter to the ADGP stated that the board exams were not conducted in April 2021 due to the Covid pandemic. Due to the cancellation of the exams, the results of the candidates who appeared in the exams had to be declared as per the guidelines laid down by the board.

Disclosure during certificate verification

When the board examined the students’ secondary certificates, it turned out that many candidates’ certificates were fake. During the investigation by the department, it was found that 129 students from 92 schools in the state had prepared for the higher secondary exam by opting for admission in the schools on the basis of fake certificates. These certificates have not been verified by the respective schools. The board later canceled the results of these students. Now the police have started arresting more people connected to the case.

Cases registered in several police stations at the same time

On behalf of ADGP Crime, FIR has been ordered to be registered in the concerned police stations of the districts where students were found in the list of those admitted on the basis of fake certificates. As per the orders, cases were registered in many police stations of the state. SP Deepak Saharan has directed all police stations to dispose of the pending cases immediately. On the orders of the SP, Kosli police station has managed to make the first arrest in the fake stamp sheets case.
