Bhiwani: Dogs injured the national bird peacock in Bamla village on Saturday morning. They immediately reached the spot, picked up the peacock and took it to the hospital for treatment. The cow guards administered first aid to the injured peacock and handed it over to the wildlife officials.

Animal handler Bijendra Rakshak, a resident of Naurangabad, said he received information over the phone in the morning that the peacock was injured by dogs in Bamla village and was lying injured in the fields. They arrived immediately, took the injured peacock to the clinic in Naurangabad village and began treatment there. He said that after providing first aid to the national bird, the peacock was handed over to the forest department officials. Animal servant Bijendra said that every country has some national symbols that reflect its image and dignity. He said that the peacock was chosen as the national bird because it is fully part of Indian culture and tradition and is a symbol of beauty. He said that wild animals are also a part of our lives and therefore we should take care of them.
