Rohtak: The upcoming district bar elections will be interesting this time. The candidates have submitted nominations. Four candidates have come forward for Pradhan’s post including Arvind Sheoran, Surendra Kumar Laura, Sanjeev Sharma and Anil Sharma. Only two supporters have filed nominations for the post of deputy prime minister, including Abhijit Singh and Harshvardhan Malik. While Deepak Hooda, Rohit Suhag and Atbar Bainiwal have filed nominations for the post of general secretary. Sushila Deshwal, Jyoti Rana and Dimple Arora have filed nominations for the post of joint secretary. Vishwajeet and Anil Kumar have also applied for the post of librarian.

59 executive members have also applied for the Bar Association elections, the list of which will be finalized after verification. This happens from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For those candidates who wish to withdraw their nomination, December 9 is the last day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The elections for various posts of the Rohtak District Bar Association will be held on December 15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The committee’s decision will be announced to everyone immediately after the votes have been counted. All candidates have intensified public relations work for the election campaign.

70 supporters will not be able to vote

ARO Jaipal Sharma said that the elections would be conducted with complete transparency. The election committee had sought affidavits from all the advocates stating that they were only members of Rohtak Bar Association and would not vote anywhere else. The list was then sent to the Bar Association. It lists the names of around 70 supporters, including MPs. You will not be able to vote in Rohtak. Recently, the Bar Council had sought the list of those whose names are registered in Delhi.

Deepak Hooda, the former general secretary

This time Deepak Hooda has applied for the post of general secretary. He has already served twice as Secretary General of the Bar Association. He will compete with Rohit Suhag and Atbar. Previously, Rohit was also Vice President and General Secretary. There will be tough competition between the two.
