Bahadurgarh: In Kharhar village, some people deliberately blocked the passage intended for evacuation. Because of this, the problem of waterlogging has arisen for farmers in a large area. Due to clogged water pipes, farmers’ crops were standing in the water, causing the crops to spoil. The aggrieved farmers have contacted the SDM about this matter so that water can be extracted from their fields. There may be a permanent solution to this problem as well.
Farmers reported that the Public Works Bureau made a culvert on Bhaparoda Road in Kharhar village by pushing the pipe for drainage. But evil elements permanently sealed these pipes by filling up earth on one side and cement concrete on the other. Because of this, the fields in a part of Kharhar village were flooded and the rice fields planted by the farmers were submerged. Farmers said there was a possibility that several million rupees would be lost to farmers as a result. With a memorandum to the SDM, the farmers demanded that these closed culverts be opened as soon as possible so that the water can be drained from the fields in time and the farmers’ rice crops can be saved from wasting. The SDM assured the farmers that they would take appropriate measures as soon as possible.
