Bahadurgarh: Another case of oil theft has come to light in Asoda. A joint team from the Criminal Investigation Department II and the Food and Supply Department searched a warehouse and seized around 2,850 liters of diesel and 80 liters of petrol. In this regard, a case under the Essential Commodities Act has been filed against three accused. The police have arrested a suspect.

In fact, there is a Hindustan Petroleum plant in Asoda. Numerous diesel and gasoline tank trucks leave this factory every day. There were also cases when motorists secretly extracted oil from tankers and sold it at a cheaper price. This is why some people in and around Asoda are involved in this business. They buy diesel and gasoline from drivers at low prices and sell them at higher prices. One such information went to CIA-2 Bahadurgarh that some people have stored diesel and petrol near Fun Town. Based on this information, the police took action. A joint team including Food and Supplies Department official Ajay Kumar searched the spot. During this time, a person named Krishna was found in hiding. The team controlled him. Following his example, the team headed to a nearby warehouse. Stocks of diesel and gasoline were recycled there.

A total of 15 barrels were found that contained 2,850 liters of diesel. 80 liters of gasoline were recovered from one barrel. It turned out that apart from Krishna, a resident of Lath, Gaurav from Nilothi and Rakesh from Asoda were also involved in this work. Krishna could not produce license permission for stocking diesel, petrol etc. According to the police, the defendants initially disclosed that they were pumping five to ten liters of oil per tanker in consultation with some drivers. This oil is sold to drivers at a price of 60 rupees. After this, tractors and other vehicles will be sold to drivers at a price of Rs 80. In this connection, a case was registered against the three accused at Asoda police station. Such cases were reported earlier in Asoda too. Despite the campaign, this game of profit from stolen oil never ends.

CIA-2 Bahadurgarh Inspector Vivek Malik said a raid was conducted at a location in Asoda. Stocks of diesel and gasoline were recovered there. An accused was arrested by registering a case under relevant sections. The investigation into this matter is ongoing. Other suspects will soon be in custody.
