Jind: The Anti Corruption Bureau’s campaign against corruption and bribery continues continuously. In this series, the Anti-Corruption Bureau on Thursday caught the Ludana outpost-in-charge accepting a monthly bribe of Rs 35,000 from a liquor dealer. The police initiated a case against the responsible outpost under the Prevention of Corruption Act and began questioning. The police will bring the accused outpost to justice in the case.
A bribe was demanded in return for operating liquor sales
Liquor entrepreneur Sumit, a resident of Hathwala village, said in his complaint to the Anti-Corruption Bureau that there were liquor sellers in his Ludana area. The head of the Ludana outpost, Dinesh, demands a bribe of 35,000 rupees from him. If he did not pay the bribe, he was threatened with non-fulfillment of the contract. Based on the complaint, the police formed a team led by Inspector Dinesh of the Anti-Corruption Bureau. While Associate Prof. serves as Gazetted Officer. Rajesh Bura was appointed. The team handed over 70 notes of Rs 500 each signed by an official and coated with powder to the complainant.
The outpost in charge was caught taking bribes
The complainant called Dinesh, the in-charge of the Ludana outpost, as a contractor. Once the complainant stated the bribe amount, the team caught Dinesh, the head of Ludana outpost, as soon as they received the signal. During the search, a bribe amount was recovered from his possession. When his hands were washed, his hands turned red. The Anti-Corruption Bureau registered a case against Dinesh under the Prevention of Corruption Act and arrested him. Inspector Dinesh of the Anti-Corruption Bureau said that Ludana outpost in-charge Dinesh demanded a bribe of Rs 35,000 from the liquor supplier. The team took action and arrested Ludana Outpost in-charge Dinesh along with the bribe amount.
