Seven wrestlers, including Vinesh Phogat, have filed a petition in the Supreme Court against Wrestling Federation President Brij Bhushan Singh. Please tell that the wrestlers had reached Connaught Place Police 3 days ago to lodge a complaint against Brij Bhushan, but the police did not register a case against them. Wrestlers have once again sat on strike regarding this.

Many wrestlers are sitting on a dharna since yesterday at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. At the same time, today the wrestlers have filed a petition in the Supreme Court. While giving a petition in the Supreme Court, has demanded registration of a case against Brij Bhushan Singh. On the other hand, the Sports Ministry has banned the Wrestling Association Elections. These elections were to be held next month.

‘Protest will continue till Brij Bhushan is sent to jail’

According to media reports, Brij Bhushan Singh, president of the Wrestling Federation of India, is being accused of harassment. Wrestlers had demonstrated regarding this in the month of January this year as well, during which a lot of politics was also done regarding this matter. The Sports Ministry had also formed a committee to investigate the allegations of wrestlers against Brij Bhushan. The committee also submitted its inquiry report, but still no action was taken against Brijbhushan. In such a situation, the wrestlers have once again opened a front against Brij Bhushan. Wrestlers say that until the WFI president is sent to jail, the protest will continue.

Invitation to political parties to join the protest

On the other hand, wrestler Bajrang Punia has sought everyone’s cooperation to take action against Brij Bhushan. He has also invited political parties to join the protest. Poonia said that whether it is BJP, Aam Aadmi Party or Congress, all parties can participate in the protest. He again clarified that we do not belong to any party, but we will welcome whoever supports us.

Political parties were prohibited from participating in the last dharna

Let us tell you that in January, when the wrestlers were sitting on a dharna for this demand, they had said that this is not a political dharna, so there is no need for any leader to come. Despite this warning by the wrestlers, on January 19, Communist Party of India leader Brinda Karat also reached Jantar Mantar in support of the wrestlers. She also climbed the stage, but the wrestlers stopped her before she could reach the mic and took her off the stage. Wrestler Bajrang Punia told him not to make this stage a place for politics.
