New Delhi: Delhi High Court has rejected the bail plea of jailed Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Kejriwal government minister Satyendar Jain in a money laundering case. During this, the court said that further investigation of Satyendar Jain would be obstructed. Actually, Satyendar Jain is in jail for the last several months in the case of money laundering.

Regarding the matter, Solicitor General SV Raju told a bench of Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma that the bail plea of Satyendar Jain should be rejected, as his release would hamper the investigation. The ED has said in the court that if Satyendar Jain is granted bail, there could be a threat to the lives of the witnesses in the case. Along with this, the triple test will have to be passed for bail.

Meanwhile, the investigating agency said that the CCTV footage recovered from Tihar Jail proved that Jain was an influential person who could influence the witnesses and the proceedings. Solicitor General Raju said the money laundering case was clear, but Jain claimed he had nothing to do with it. He said that I have to prove that Jain is primarily involved in this case.

The ED has said in its reply that it can be clearly inferred that Satyendar Jain, who is lodged in Tihar Jail, is also influencing co-accused Vaibhav Jain and Ankush Jain. Along with this, it has been said that Jain is not cooperating in the investigation, he is evasive. With this, the court has adjourned the next hearing of the matter till November 9.
