Schools Closed: Due to the high level of pollution in Delhi and its surrounding areas, it is becoming difficult for people to breathe. Due to worsening AQI i.e. Air Quality Index, children’s schools have been closed in Delhi and nearby places. Although it started from Delhi, now schools in areas around Delhi like Gurugram, Noida and Ghaziabad have also been closed. Schools in the capital Delhi have been closed from 9 to 18 November.

Schools Closed: Delhi

Due to the increasing level of pollution in Delhi, the schools here were first closed. Winter break has been announced in schools. Earlier, these classes were closed for two days i.e. till 4th and 5th November 2023 and schools were asked to conduct online classes, but now online classes for all classes will continue till 10th November. However, schools have been opened for students of classes 10th and 12th.

Schools Closed: Gurugram

Gurugram schools were ordered to be closed on 7 November 2023. The schools here have been closed for students from nursery to class 5. It was said that online classes will be connected for these classes till further orders and physical classes will be started only after further orders.

Schools Closed: Ghaziabad

Schools in Ghaziabad have also been closed due to pollution. The DM here has announced to conduct online classes for the students instead of physical classes. This order from DM is for students up to class 9th. Like Delhi, schools here have also been closed till 10 November 2023.

Schools Closed: Noida

In view of the increasing levels of pollution in Noida and Greater Noida, the government has ordered the closure of schools. Here also schools have been closed till 10 November 2023. All schools in Noida and Greater Noida have been ordered to conduct online classes. This online class is for students up to class 9th. The school has been kept open for classes after 9th.
