The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in many states. IMD said Southwest Monsoon is also likely to cause rain over parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha during the next 2 days. At the same time, there is also a possibility of snowfall in the Himalayan and hilly areas. Snow cover has started appearing at some places in the hilly areas. Which will affect the plains.

There will be rain in these places including Punjab also.

IMD said that rain is also expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. Light to moderate rain may occur over Tamil Nadu, North Kerala, South Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. There is a possibility of light rain at isolated places in Uttarakhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan from 15 to 17 October. If we talk about North-West India, then from 13 to 17 October, there may be heavy and light rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad from 14 to 17 October. It is believed that after the rains, winter will arrive in these states.
