The budget session will begin in Delhi from March 17. This will be the first time after 2015 that Manish Sisodia will not present the Delhi budget. Manish Sisodia was arrested by the CBI last Sunday after irregularities were found in the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22. Two days later i.e. on Tuesday, Manish Sisodia resigned from his post.

This time Kailash Gehlot will present the budget

Delhi minister Kailash Gahlot, who handles revenue, transport and other portfolios, has been given the additional charge of the finance department. Since taking charge on March 2, Gehlot has held extensive discussions with officials on the preparation of the budget and has also held several meetings so far. Along with this, instructions have also been given to the officers to complete the previous missed works.

The budget session of the Vidhan Sabha has been called from March 17-23. On the first day of the budget session, there will be an address by Lieutenant Governor LG VK Saxena and on the second day the Economic Survey can be presented, after all these the budget of the national capital Delhi will be presented on March 23.

Kailash Gehlot said about the budget

Kailash Gehlot said that the upcoming budget will give progress to the development of Delhi. Under the leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal, we are working with speed to present a progressive budget. We will take the development work done during the last eight years further.

Before the presentation of Delhi’s budget, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramveer Singh Bidhuri said that the Delhi government had promised 20 lakh jobs in the previous budget. Not even 400 jobs have been created since last year. Also raised the question that the Government does not allow the opposition members to speak in the House by not fixing the time for the Question Hour, the discussion does not take place properly. If Question Hour is not included in this budget session, we will approach the court.
