Weapon smuggling criminals arrested.
Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested three criminals involved in arms smuggling racket. 11 pistols were recovered from them. During interrogation it was revealed that the pistol was purchased from Madhya Pradesh. These were to be supplied to Hashim Baba gang in Delhi. The names of the arrested smugglers are Vimal Kumar, Sumit Kumar, resident of Prayagraj, UP and Amarjeet Singh, resident of Khargone, Madhya Pradesh.
According to DCP Alok Kumar, input was received about the miscreants involved in this syndicate that they had come to Delhi from MP with a pistol. Pul will deliver weapons near Prahladpur Underpass, MB Road. Police laid a trap and caught Vimal Kumar and Sumit Kumar. During search, 10 pistols were found from them.
During interrogation, it was revealed from both of them that the pistol was purchased from an arms supplier in Khargone. These were to be supplied to Hashim Baba gang. The pistol purchased from Amarjeet for Rs 8,000 was then sold for Rs 25,000. In the last two years, they had supplied more than 50 illegal weapons. On their information, the third accused was arrested from Nizamuddin Railway Station.
Amarjeet Singh informed the police that he makes pistols himself and is involved in this illegal business for the last 10 years. He has also been involved in a similar case in Indore. At the same time, Delhi is continuously interrogating all these people and taking information about other people involved in the gang. Apart from this, the police have registered the case and started further legal action.
