Delhi: Shooter of Gogi gang arrested, had demanded ransom of Rs 1 crore from businessman

Delhi: The Crime Branch has arrested a shooter of Gogi Gang in the case of firing at a businessman’s house in Kanjhawala area and demanding extortion of Rs 1 crore. The accused had also threatened to kill a family member if his extortion demand was not met. The businessman’s family is in panic after this incident. A pistol has also been recovered from the shooter. He has been involved in two cases earlier also.

Special CP Ravindra Yadav said that the name of the criminal caught by the police is Amit, resident of Majra Dabas. On October 24, a businessman in Ladpur village had lodged a complaint, stating that on October 23, firing was done at the main gate of his house. Two empty cartridges and three slips were found near the house. Among them, a demand of Rs 1 crore was made and threats were made by Deepak and Dinesh Karala of Gogi gang.

It was written in the slip that if the demand was not met, then next time one of his family members would be shot in the chest. Crime Branch caught Amit by setting a trap near an apartment located in Sector 26 Rohini. Arrests have already been made in the case.
