Delhi: Poddar gang criminal caught, many cases revealed

Delhi: Special staff of Outer North District of Delhi Police has arrested an active member of Manish Poddar gang. A pistol, stolen mobile phone and a bike have been recovered from it. Police have claimed to have solved four cases of theft and snatching.

According to the police, on Friday the Special Staff Team had received information about a person roaming with a weapon. Under the leadership of Inspector Umesh Sharma, the team of SI Naveen and others laid a trap in DDA Park, Sector 28, Rohini and arrested Rahees Ahmed alias Rashid.

Police said that the miscreant is a resident of Bawana area. This 46 year old criminal is related to Manish Poddar gang. The accused has been found involved in seven cases of Arms Act, theft and snatching.

An Arms Act case has been registered in Shahbad Dairy police station regarding this arrest. Police have claimed to have solved four cases of Netaji Subhash Place, Swaroop Nagar, Narela and Shahbad Dairy police station. With this, further action has been started. The police are also interrogating the accused regarding other matters.

Let us tell you that the police is continuously arresting active gang members in Delhi. Even before this, Delhi Police has arrested many miscreants with weapons. Apart from this, Delhi Police also keeps making people aware that if they see any suspicious person then they should immediately inform them.
