Delhi Liquor Scam:In the Delhi Liquor Policy case, ED i.e. Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Rajya Sabha MP and Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh on Wednesday evening after a long interrogation. ED had interrogated Sanjay Singh for about 10.30 hours. Sanjay Singh will be produced in Rouse Avenue Court today i.e. on Thursday, where ED will tell the court that the AAP leader did not cooperate during interrogation. This is the reason why he has been arrested. ED will demand remand of Sanjay Singh.

ED will seek remand from the court

According to media reports, the central investigating agency ED has a long list of questions, answers to which are to be taken from Sanjay Singh. Citing the same questions, ED will demand remand of Sanjay Singh. Let us tell you that Sanjay Singh is the second big leader to be arrested in the corruption case in Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22. Earlier, former Delhi Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been arrested in the same case, who is currently in Delhi’s Tihar Jail.

AAP will protest outside BJP headquarters

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will protest outside the BJP headquarters in New Delhi today against the arrest of its Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the liquor scam. Also, political rhetoric has started between AAP and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding this development. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called it a desperate move by the BJP as it is facing defeat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, BJP hit back at Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of being the kingpin of the liquor policy scam and said that he too is connected to it.

Let us tell you that this ED raid and subsequent arrest of Sanjay Singh has been done at a time when a Delhi court has booked Raghav Magunta, son of YSR Congress Party Lok Sabha member Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy and Delhi businessman Dinesh Singh, in the liquor scam case. Arora has been arrested.
