In this series, the government has taken a new step to provide adequate drinking water in areas lacking drinking water including unauthorized colonies. For this, the government will set up 500 RO plants in the first phase along with tubewells. The Jal Board in Delhi has so far identified land for 471 RO plants.

Recently, a high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of CM Arvind Kejriwal regarding drinking water in Delhi, in which the progress made by the Delhi Jal Board in this direction was reviewed. Wherever tubewells are being installed and lakes are being made in Delhi, large RO plants will be set up as per the requirement.
