Delhi Crime: Two accused involved in arms smuggling arrested, five pistols and 27 cartridges recovered

Delhi Crime:The North East District Police has arrested two people involved in arms smuggling. Apart from three semi-automatic and two country-made pistols, 27 cartridges and a stolen bike have been recovered from them. The names of the arrested miscreants are Asif and Aslam. Both are residents of Amroha district of UP. According to DCP Joy Tirkey, on August 24, the Special Staff received inputs about these two arms smugglers.

Police engaged in search of source of weapons

After this, the bike without number plate was stopped and checked by setting a trap on the road leading to 65 Foota Road Subhash Park Extension. On searching, five pistols and 27 cartridges were found from the bike riders. The bike found with them was stolen from Tigdi area. Legal action was taken against both of them by registering a case under Arms Act at Welcome police station. Old criminal records of both the people have been found. Police interrogated them and started looking for the source of weapons.
