Delhi Crime: On Saturday, some people pretending to be ED officers entered a house in Baba Haridas Nagar of Dwarka, the country’s national capital Delhi, and looted Rs 3.20 crore and escaped. After a chase in a PCR van, the police arrested a suspect and also recovered Rs 70 lakh in cash. Delhi Police has also started searching for other accused.

Baba of Dwarka entered a house in Haridas Nagar pretending to be an ED officer. He told that hawala money is being hidden here. Even the family members could not understand anything. All of them threatened the family and seized Rs 3 crore in cash and ran away from there saying that the family members should come to the office for questioning the next day. When the family members came to know about those who conducted the raid posing as fake ED officers, they were stunned. Because those people were not from ED at all.

How did the police catch the accused?

The same night, the police control room team saw a car passing at high speed. He signaled the driver to stop, but he did not pay attention. After this, two vehicles led by SI Digvijay and Suresh started chasing the car and after chasing for 2 kilometers, they managed to stop the car in Narela. One suspect took out a pistol and tried to open fire, but was restrained by four PCR personnel. Police found Rs 70 lakh in the car. This accused was identified as Amit alias Vicky, resident of Sonipat. He was earlier involved in two criminal cases including murder in Bindapur.

The police officer said that the person whose house was raided had recently sold his Dwarka land to some people from South Delhi. Someone known to the victim is suspected to be involved in the fake ED raid. Police suspect that two groups were working, one planned it completely and the other executed it. Police are also busy searching for other accused.
