Delhi Crime:A person was stabbed and injured in Sarita Vihar area at around 9:24 pm on Thursday night. The injured was admitted to the hospital, where he died after treatment that lasted for about two hours. The name of the deceased has been stated as Kanai Malik, son of Late Tarendra Nath Malik, resident of Street No. 7, Near Amar Singh Public School, Ali Vihar. The age of the deceased was 50 years. A case of murder has been registered at Sarita Vihar police station in South Eastern district. Three accused have been arrested in the case.
According to DCP Rajesh Dev, a PCR call was received at night regarding a person being stabbed and a mobile phone being looted. Local police reached the spot and found that the injured man had been taken to the hospital. He died at 11 pm. The incident site was inspected by a mobile forensic crime team. Photographs were taken and the crowd gathered there was also removed. Upon enquiry, it was revealed that the deceased worked as a receptionist in a firm located in DLF Tower B, Jasola Vihar. The police could not find any eyewitness to this incident.
The accused fled from the spot after committing the robbery.
Realizing the seriousness of the matter, several teams were formed to identify and arrest the accused. CCTV around the incident site was examined and informers were also taken to find some clues. Finally, an informer revealed that the main accused is Raj Kumar (19), son of Bintu, resident of house number 654, C Block, Gautampuri, Phase One, New Delhi. He was raided and arrested. During interrogation, he revealed that at around 9 pm, he along with his associates Kallu Dada and Billy alias Sohail had robbed the mobile phone of a passerby. When the passerby protested, he stabbed him in the chest. After committing the robbery they fled from the spot. The mobile phone that was stolen from the accused has also been recovered. On this, the other two accused were also arrested.
