Delhi: Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has changed the routes of selected routes in view of Janmashtami festival on Thursday, September 7, 2023. In this regard, Public Relations General Manager of DTC Durgesh Nandini Varshney told that on Janmashtami, a large number of devotees go to Birla temple and Chhattarpur temple etc. to offer prayers. In such a situation, in view of the rush of pedestrians, the traffic police has made necessary changes in the operation of bus services running through Mandir Marg and Peshwa Road.

Under the new arrangement, now the services of route numbers 803A, 966A, 990A, 990AA, 990X etc. will run between Link Road and Gol Market via Panchkuiyan Road and Ram Krishna Ashram Road instead of Mandir Marg. At the same time, buses of route number 521 and 522, while coming and going between Connaught Circle and Karol Bagh Metro Station, will travel through Gol Market through Peshwa Road, Ram Krishna Ashram Road and Panchkuiyan Road instead of Mandir Marg, while route numbers 160A, 610A. , 610A etc. services will reach Gol Market as per the above via and will run through Bhai Veer Singh Marg and further through their prescribed via.
He informed that 5 additional buses will be run from Sarojini Nagar depot till late night in the evening shift on route number 516 from Safdarjung Terminal to Chhattarpur temple. At the same time, due to the G-20 summit to be held in Delhi, restrictions have been implemented in the New Delhi area by the Delhi Traffic Police from the midnight of 7th September 2023 from the point of view of security. In such a situation, if the routes of the buses are changed by the traffic police, then the bus drivers will operate the buses only as per the instructions of the traffic police.
